    A film screening and discussion of Alfred Hitchcock's "Rear Window"

    New York Psychoanalytic Society & Institute and the Friends of the Abraham A. Brill Library present a film screening and discussion of Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 classic "Rear Window" which stars James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Thelma Ritter and Raymond Burr.

    Dr. Peter Dunn, noted psychoanalyst and director of NYPSI's Low-Cost Treatment Center , will lead the discussion following the screening. Dr. Dunn will explore the film's various themes of voyeurism, obsession, and stifled desire with reference to the psychoanalytic concept of the “Primal Scene.”
