    "A Review of Some Outdated Foundational Hypotheses Underlying Psychoanalytic Theory" with Edward Nersessian, M.D.

    Freud's fundamental discoveries date back to the late 19th century. An attempt will be made to revisit these hypotheses from today's vantage point. Concepts such as repression, the dynamic unconscious, psycho-sexual development will be among the issues reviewed.

    Edward Nersessian, M.D. is a Training and Supervising Analyst at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute and a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Weil-Cornell Medical College.
