"The Psychological Basis of Change in a Talking Cure; How do we study it? Part II: Computerized Measures and New Applications"
with Drs. Bernard Maskit and Wilma Bucci

We will continue the presentation and discussion of the referential process, and its measures and applications that we started at our November meeting. After a quick review of that presentation, we will describe the current state of the DAAP-WRAD systems, using both word count and time as the independent variables. The presentation will include a discussion of what makes the WRAD work: including which very frequent words are indicators of high RA and why. We also plan to present our plans for future enhancements of these systems (some almost completed, others more distant); a discussion of some current applications, and plans for future applications. We will also include some discussion of the new Italian measures and the implications for cross cultural application of the RA concept.
