Course Description
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to
- describe and better utilize psychoanalytic modes of listening and intervening in order to deepen psychoanalytic treatments especially with regard to transference/countertransference configurations.
- compare adult and child analytic treatments with regard to: the psychoanalytic frame, the modes of intervention, the goals of treatment, and the role of the analyst.
Evaluation Method
Each student’s participation in class discussion and demonstration of understanding of the course objectives, readings and clinical material is assessed in a written evaluation by the instructor(s).
